I loved working with this pattern. It came together quickly, which was good because I have a habit of sewing on a tight deadline!

The piecing on the back made fitting easy & aside from the dreaded job of hemming all that skirt, everything else was a breeze. I had to follow the sleeve instructions closer than I am used to, but it resulted in perfectly fitted, historical sleeves so it was worth it.

In fact, I liked the pattern so much, I’ve used it more than once for both fancy silk & everyday wool gowns.
