This is a full-size paper pattern with complete instructions and historical notes for a lady’s spencer jacket circa 1820 based on an extant and pictorial examples. This is the longer spencer of the 1820s, reaching down to the ribs, with a round collar and center front closure. This Spencer should be worn with the longer stays, RH844.
