Big belly?  No worries.  Buy our step-collar weskit pattern for the “Prosperous” Victorian Gent!

You need our full size paper pattern for Men’s Waistcoats (Vests) for the 1850s through 1900s redrafted now for men whose bellies measure larger than their chests. Single- and double-breasted versions both included.

Fits chests 42″-60″ and waists 44″-62″ with instructions for making the pattern fit larger sizes. All sizes are included in one envelope. Embellishment suggestions, historical notes and period tailoring techniques included.

Suggested Fabrics:
silk or suit wool
lightweight silk or linen for lining
heavy linen or canvas for interlining and back

Yardage Requirements:
2 yds at least 45″ wide for front
1 yard for plain linen back
