Buy our flattering Housecoat pattern and lounge about the house in style!

Based on an original pattern from 1945, this housecoat is as smart as it is comfortable. This is no ordinary bathrobe! Double-breasted closure fastens at waist with two buttons. Gathers over the hips afford plenty of room. Collarless V-neckline is faced but housecoat can easily be fully lined instead (remember to allow for the thickness of your lining when choosing a size).  Long and short sleeve options are included. Housecoat may also be cut to thigh length and worn with pyjama bottoms.

Fits busts 30" to 50". All sizes in one envelope.

Also included are assembly instructions, embellishment suggestions, and the extensive historical notes you've come to expect from Reconstructing History.

Suggested Fabrics: crepe de chine, heavy (4-ply) crepe, brocade, printed silk, silk, rayon, linen, cotton
Notions: buttons, snaps, shoulder pads
Yardage Requirements: 5.5 yards 45" wide or 3.5 yards 54" wide
