What our customers are saying

My first time!

This is my first time wearing my very first stays or corset I’ve made, using Reconstructing History’s pattern for 1740s stays! It was much easier than I anticipated! I made some mistakes and learned a lot. This pattern is so easy to interpret, I am very thankful to Kass McGann for creating it!

You get so much for your money. And well documented too!

Just ordered all of the sewing patterns that Eva and I will need to hand sew my Rev War Militia kit. Patterns were ordered from Reconstructing History. Eva was impressed with what you get for the money and that everything is highly documented.

Made to Measure Fits Real People

Thank you for providing made to measure patterns. It’s very, very nice to have something custom made for one’s self, that for once your body is not “wrong” and fits decently and “the reveal” of putting on won’t be a huge disappointment or require extensive reworking as is so often the case with ready to wear & standard patterns. Having anyone you know fight body dysmorphia and disappointment due to ill fitting stuff should be enough for anyone to understand it has to change. Thank you for being that change.
