Our pattern makes a fantastic early 19thc frock coat!
In the 1820s, when tailors added a waist seam to the 18thc Frock Coat, the 19th century Frock Coat was born! Make yourself a proper Men's Frock Coat or Top Coat for the 1820s with the necessary narrow cuffs, attached wide skirts, and optional shoulder cape. Knee-length and long versions included.
Fits chests 34" to 54". All sizes in one envelope.
Also included are assembly instructions, embellishment suggestions, and the extensive historical notes you've come to expect from Reconstructing History.
Suggested Fabrics: wool, lightweight linen for lining, heavy linen or canvas for interlining
Notions: thread; buttons for front, cuffs, and vents; buttonhole floss
