Cloaks, so popular in the 17th century, were falling out of favour by the 18th century. Fashionable men wore coats inspired by those worn by coachmen. This is not to say that Cloaks passed out of the historical record, however. They remained, though they changed as the 18th century progressed.

Our easy-to-use, one size pattern makes a fabulous and authentic men's collared cloak.

Fits chests up to 60". One size.

Also included are assembly instructions, embellishment suggestions, and the extensive historical notes you've come to expect from Reconstructing History.

Suggested Fabrics: coat weight wool, wool broadcloth, kersey

Notions: thread; hook and eye

Yardage Requirements: 4 yards 60" wide
