Fashionably dress your lower half!
In 1814, the Czar Alexander I visited London. His costume inspired a new trend in trousers, cut full and gathered into the waistband and also at the ankles. This new style of trousers were called “Cossacks”, a term which would likely have horrified the Czar.
Use our pattern, based on extant examples and period tailor's manuals, for men's pleated "Cossack" trousers circa 1830-1850 .
Fits chests waists 28"-50". All sizes in one envelope.

Suggested Fabrics: wool, heavyweight silk; cotton or linen for lining
Notions: thread; buttonhole floss; 10 - 5/8” buttons for waistband; 5 - 5/8” buttons for fly closure (optional)
