What ho! What ho! What ho!
Based on an original pattern from the 1920s, you can make these short trousers with a peaked back for braces (suspenders) or with belt loops and a waistband that sits at natural waist (not on your hips like modern dress pants). Button or zipper fly. Leg bottoms are four inches longer than the knees, thus "plus fours".
All sizes (waists 28" to 50") come in the same envelope. Also included are assembly instructions, embellishment suggestions, and the extensive historical notes you've come to expect from Reconstructing History.
Fabric Suggestions: suit weights, primarily wool or wool blends
Notions: zipper for fly, buttons
Yardage: 3 yards at least 36" wide
