Buy the world's only historically accurate women's kosode and hakama pattern!

Make underwear for your karaginu-mo!  This is our pattern for kosode and nagabakama, the short white robe and long red pants worn by women under the voluminous robes that comprised a lady's outfit in Japan's Heian Period (894-1172). Includes two styles of knee- to calf-length kosode and the long, trailing nagabakama with instructions for looping up the nagabakama to ankle-length.

The proper outerwear for these robes are available in RH410 - Heian Japanese Woman's Informal Outfit and RH411 - Heian Japanese Woman's Formal Outfit.

Fits busts 30.5" to 48". All sizes in one envelope.

Also included are assembly instructions, embellishment suggestions, and the extensive historical notes you've come to expect from Reconstructing History.

Suggested Fabrics: silk
Notions: thread
Yardage Requirements: kosode - 3 yards 60" wide; hakama - 8 yards at least 45” wide
