Developed by RH's resident Japanese clothing expert and based on extant examples in Japanese museums and temples, our pattern for Oyoroi Hitatare is not only the most historically accurate Japanese clothing pattern you'll ever buy, it's the easiest pattern you'll ever use.
Included are easy-to-follow, step-by-step instructions on how to construct Oyoroi Hitatare in a period manner. Includes the hitatare (top), matching hakama (pants), kosode (undershirt), and shitabakama (drawers). Also included are extensive historical notes on the origin and appropriate wear of oyoroi hitatare and directions on how to get dressed.
All you need is the shoes!
