Our easy-to-use pattern lets you create a jaw-dropping Man's Safavid (16thc) Persian Outfit. Includes inner robes (jame) with sleeve variations, zirshalvari (drawers), outer robes (bala push, radai arabi, and radai mughuli), jacket (bala tanti kutah) and hose (chakme).

Fits chests 34" to 54" and waists 28" to 50". All sizes in one envelope. 

Also included are assembly instructions, embellishment suggestions, and the extensive historical notes you've come to expect from Reconstructing History.

Suggested Fabrics: fine wool, silk or brocade; linen or lightweight silk for lining; may also be entirely or partially lined with fur
Notions: thread, 10-20 buttons and loops for front closure, braid and passementerie trim to taste
Yardage Requirements:
Ankle-length robes - outer material 5 yds at least 45” wide, lining (optional) 5 yds at least 45” wide
Jacket, Short robes - 3 yds at least 45” wide
Drawers, Hose - 2 yds at least 60” wide
