Look fabulous in your new Great Coat!
Cloaks, which had been so popular in the 17th century, were falling out of favour by the 18th century. fashionable men took their lead from coats worn by coachmen, who had to stay warm and dry in all kinds of weather. They wore long coats with shoulder capes and secondary collars that could be turned up to protect the wearer from the weather, almost forming hoods.
Our easy-to-use pattern helps you make a Regency era men's Great Coat with multiple shoulder capes.
