Make easy Regency with our half-robe!

At the turn of the 19th century, many things were changing and fashion was indicative of these things. Diaphanous white muslin dresses with very little structure became the norm. During the cold clear light of the morning, something more casual was required. Enter the Half Robe. This simple dress consisted of a simple front-closing bodice, high waist, and short skirts smooth at the front and pleated behind.

Our easy-to-use pattern, based on extant and pictorial examples, helps you make your own lady's surplice-wrapped robe and half-robe circa 1800.

Fits busts 30½"-48". All sizes in one envelope.

Also included are assembly instructions, embellishment suggestions, and the extensive historical notes you've come to expect from Reconstructing History.

Suggested Fabrics: silk, linen, lightweight wool, cotton

Notions: thread

Yardage Requirements:
Half Robe 2 yds at least 45” wide
Robe 4 yds at least 45” wide
