NOT SUITABLE FOR LARGE BUSTS

In the early Regency period, the style was to discard corsetry and appear "as nature intended".  But women who weren't blessed with the perfect figure still used foundation garments to form their bodies into the fashionable shape.

Our easy-to-use pattern, based on an extant brassiere in the Kyoto Costume Institute, helps you make your own light, wrap-around bra circa 1800.

Large busted women may prefer RH834.

Fits busts 30½"-48" . All sizes in one envelope.

Suggested Fabrics: plain or twill weave linen or cotton, fine linen for lining, 5oz. linen for interlining

Notions: thread; 7mm or ¼” half oval or round reeds or ¼” corset boning; silk ribbon, cloth tape or leather for binding; corset lacing
