Make a Beautiful Edwardian Blouse!

In the last decade of the 19th century, the revolution was beginning that would take women out of the home and into the workforce. By the early 1890s, the shirtwaist or blouse was a popular garment for ladies’ summer wear. The Edwardian period was the time of the pigeon-breasted look with voluminous shirtwaists pleated into smooth yokes and large leg-o’-mutton sleeves

Our easy-to-use pattern, based on an original pattern from the Edwardian period, helps you make a gorgeous Edwardian ladies’ shirtwaist or blouse.  Yoked-back or plain-back versions are included. Can be made with or without the body lining.

Fits busts 28" through 48" and waists 20" through 40". All sizes in one envelope.

Also included are assembly instructions, embellishment suggestions, and the extensive historical notes you've come to expect from Reconstructing History.

Suggested Fabrics: cotton shirting, linen, cotton batiste, cotton voile

Notions: thread; buttons for closure, 5 yds edging (optional)

Yardage Requirements:
